Support and advice for cultural schools
Film i Skåne is tasked with assisting municipalities in their development of the film sector and serves as a resource for cultural schools that want to work with film.
We can help you with educators, methods, professional development, and tips on available support.
Film and moving images are an integral part of children and youth’s everyday lives, and many have a great interest in developing their storytelling and communication skills with images. With the right conditions, the Cultural School can be the place where this becomes possible.
Examples of support we can provide to cultural schools:
- Tips on film educators
- Advice on technology
- Methods and models for film education work
- Guidance on course planning
- Professional development for educators
Support from the swedish film institute
At the national level, there is support from the Swedish Film Institute for film cultural activities for children and youth that municipalities can apply for to develop film within cultural schools. The support aims to develop local structures that make it possible for children and youth to learn about film and moving images by watching, discussing, and creating. The support can be applied for twice a year and can cover up to half of the project budget. An increasing number of cultural schools have applied for and received support in recent years to broaden and develop their activities with film.
More information about the Swedish Film Institute’s support can be found on their website filminstitutet.se.
