Applications – development and co-production

In order to stimulate and develop the Scanian film industry and its participants, Film i Skåne funds both the development and co-production of films. The co-production funds are given to both start-up projects and professional film productions.

When applying, a number of documents are required. You need to keep them readily available on your computer in order to complete and submit your application. An incomplete application cannot be submitted. See the application guide below for advice, tips and explanations concerning your application.

Deadlines 2024

Applications for co-production feature films, TV series and documentaries are processed ongoing.

Deadlines for short films: from january 1st 2024 all applications will be processed ongoing.

Deadlines for Stipendiet (the scholarship): 3/3 och 29/9

Application checklist

Documents that need to be enclosed with the application:

  • Project description (synopsis, director's vision, producer’s vision, team description, visual template, audience plan)
  • Script
  • Time schedule
  • Budget
  • Financing plan
  • Distribution plan
  • CV of the filmmakers and other key people

You also need to submit with your application:

  • Contact details to the producer, production company, director and script writer
  • Synopsis
  • Target group analysis
  • Plan for (environmentally) sustainable production
  • Samples from your portfolio

BoostHbg offers support tailored to develop you and your project and help you stay relevant in an ever-changing media landscape, while sharing your experiences with others. Our process includes allocating funds specifically to be used for prototyping, coaching efforts, relevant travel or a combination of these.

Filmcentrum Syd

Through project development, mentorship, technical support and use of our premises we work to support the production of independent, high quality films in Skåne. FilmCentrum Syd is always on the side of the filmmaker, and our priority is to facilitate the filmmaker’s vision – with a special focus on film as an art form.
