Ystad Studios
Film i Skåne’s film studio, Ystad Studios, is one of Sweden’s largest film studios with two soundstages, each measuring 600m². Many films and series, such as “Wallander” and “The Bridge,” have been filmed here.
Ystad Studios consists of two soundstages, Ernst Hugo and Anna Q, each measuring 600 square meters. Both soundstages have gates that allow trucks to drive in. The studio also offers many other facilities, including production offices, makeup & costume rooms, dressing rooms, and meeting rooms.
The studio is available for rent to both film and TV productions that Film i Skåne co-produces, as well as completely independent productions and commercials.
Ystad Studios also houses the Ystad Studios Visitor Center, an experience center for film where Ystad Municipality and Film i Skåne offer visitors a rich array of experiences and learning opportunities in the world of film, right next to the professional film recording studio.
Soundstage "Ernst Hugo"
The soundstage “Ernst Hugo” measures 600m² and is equipped with a 25×4 meter projection screen designed for Virtual Production, mounted in a 180-degree semicircle, along with an overhead truss for mounting of projectors and lighting. This soundstage also features two gates that allow trucks to drive in and a telfer system in the ceiling.
Rental Cost:
SEK 10,000 excluding VAT per day or SEK 50,000 excluding VAT per 7-day week.

Soundstage "Anna Q"
The soundstage “Anna Q” measures 600m² and is a traditional soundstage for set construction. This soundstage is equipped with two gates that allow trucks to drive in and a telfer system in the ceiling.
Rental Cost:
SEK 8,000 excluding VAT per day, or SEK 40,000 excluding VAT per 7-day week.
Production offices and other facilities
In addition to our soundstages, Ystad Studios offers the following:
- 6 production offices with desks and office chairs.
- A large conference room with seating for up to 20 people.
- 2 private dressing rooms for actors.
- 2 large changing/shower rooms with multiple showers.
- Makeup/Costume areas.
- Space for props and costume storage.
- Green Room with ping pong table and sofas.
- Dining hall.
- Restrooms.
- Parking spaces.
These facilities can be included in the studio rental at no additional cost, subject to availability.
